Event sustainability is one of the fastest-growing trends in the meetings industry, and for good reason. Event organisers have a vital role to play in addressing some of the sustainability challenges we face as a planet. And as younger, more climate-conscious researchers come of age, it may not be long before being a fully certified sustainable event is a minimum requirement.

reduce our environmental impact and carbon footprints as much as possible in all the events that we organise. These initiatives range from saying NO to single-use plastic, reducing food waste to choosing the greenest venues.

As an event organiser, we hold a position of incredible influence and hope that we can shift mindsets, whereby people will take the awareness of the event out into the world and start making a real difference. It is up to us to hold ourselves accountable and take responsibility.
